Description:This familiar hammer packs a nice punch in trying to show some time saving modeling techniques. This multi-body part is made using mostly extrudes and a few sweeps sprinkled in. This model uses thin features for some of the extruded bosses and cuts to speed up sketch time. Mirroring geometry and patterns are used to save time and to keep the feature count down. There is one example of a split line. There is an example of circular profile sweep introduced in SOLIDWORKS 2016 which is another time saver. Other features include a linear pattern, circular pattern, combine, cut with Surface, offset surface, multiple sweeps and swept cuts.
