The Synchron model 148-4 is a permanent magnet DC motor mounted on a heavy duty pear shaped spur gear box. 9 gear ratios are available from10:1 to 896:1.

This permanent magnet synchronous motor is offered in a wide range of operating voltages and output shaft configurations. The motor offers an input power of 1.5 watts at rated voltage. The pear shaped gearbox provides a starting torque of 100 oz-in (700 mNm) at 1 rpm at rated voltage. This motor is rugged, reliable, quiet, low profile and cost effective. Applications include point of purchase displays, bin level indicators, humidifiers, time recording equipment or any application requiring high torque from a small package.
