This is a model based on average of measurements of twelve different transwells. Measurements vary because these transwells are a made by injection molding and they are probably made in batches (pure assumption). The heat annealed membrane (indicated by blue color) is made of polyester or polycarbonate to support polarized cultures that are fed basolaterally.
