These adapter collets fit inside of a tube like honed DOM to allow the tubing to be fully machined on the end next to the power head of a lathe without the need to re chuck, great for machining extra-long tubes, I advise making one for each ID. I still have the first one that I ever made over 30 years ago and it is still in good condition. Simple to make with minimal equipment or experience, I have used steel, cast iron, brass, and aluminum, even made one out of wood
