This hockey stick blade model makes use of a layout sketch to drive projected curves. The projected curves are used to create boundary surfaces that form the blade. The hockey stick is made from three components: a molded carbon fiber blade, an off-the-shelf carbon fiber shaft and a rubber top cap.

The body was created by sketching a circle and using the Extrude command along with a draft. A logo was attached to the front of the body with the decal appearance tool.A plane was created to use to sketch the head and as reference for other body parts.

A rib is patterned using “Instances to Vary” in a Circular Pattern, but only certain types of dimensions are allowed to change. The model is built in quarters and halves, then patterned and mirrored and joined together to create the full shape. The model also shows a few ways to keep features and bodies clean and organized.

This multi-body model demonstrates the use of guide curve driven sweep to create three unique shapes. The three bottle shapes might look like three separate parts using lofts but in reality are three configurations using just one sweep. The sweep uses a simple elliptical profile that is controlled by two guide curves. The guide curves use "style spines" to more accurately control the geometry with dimensions versus drag handles.

This is a functional design that some of you might try to create as winter project for your front or backyard porches or patios. There are two configurations: one as chair with a backrest and one as chair with a tabletop. Because of the complex bends that are added to strengthen the sheet metal, the spatula is modeled as a surface body and then thickened. This is a multi-body part consisting of all the parts that will be assembled to produce the grill spatula.
