Description
Sheetmetal features determine the thickness and bend radius. For this part, we are usinging 10 Gauge Aluminum. We started this sheetmetal part with mid plane extrusion to center about the Front Plane. The sheetmetal features are used so that the part can be flattened out to create a flat pattern.

Description
The sheetmetal features determine the thickness and bend radius. We will be using a 16 Gauge Aluminum for this model. A Mid Plane extrusion to center is used with respect to the Right Plane. A Base Flange/Tab feature can be used not only as the first feature, but also to add more material at the same thickness like the rest of the part.

This sled incorporates some flowing curves along the length of the sled that step downward to create an interesting, cascading side wall. The inside of this sled is modeled from a block and then shelled on the outside of the block to create the thickness of the wall.

These safety goggles use surface modeling to generate their swoopy shape. Sweeps, lofts and trims create the initial surfaces that are then Thickened to form the glasses. The rarely used Mid-Surface feature is used to easily define a complicated parting line.

Description
The Wire Profile Plane creates the wire size of the belt, the overall width of the belt, the number of segments of the belt, and the desired tolerance between each link in the belt. A final variable, belt spacing, is defined by dividing the overall belt length by the total number of segments. The layout sketch is converted into a new 3D sketch where fillets are added to the sketch. This keeps the relations easier to manage in the layout sketch. The wire profile is swept along the wire path to complete the wire. The wire body is mirrored across the right plane to complete one belt link. The Belt Layout sketch is selected from the Feature Manager. The number of instances is then linked to the global variable “Number of Wire Segments”.

This Plastic wall hook has an interesting shutoff along the inner edge of the hook. In addition, on the inner portion of the hook, a stepped parting line is modeled to allow filleting of the inner edge .This part also incorporates two separate shells - one for the main base of the hook and one for the hook feature.
